  • I'm a native of New York state and Tompkins County, NY.

I like to have my feet wet and do well in rain gardens or along streams and pond edges.

I'm a pollinator magnet and attract many different butterflies and bees. Hummingbirds also love to visit my blooms.  I'm a host plant for the larvae of Monarchs and tussock moths.

I like to sleep a little longer in the spring than many plants. Don't get impatient if it seems like I'm not going to wake up. I'll likely show up right when you're ready to give up.

I bloom mid summer for about a month.
