  • I’m a native of New York state and Tompkins County, NY.

    We are edible and delicious.

We make a nice ground covers and spread by runners (stolens)

The cultivated strawberries are a cross between us and F. chiloensis (native to western coastal South America including Chile). We contribute the flavor and F. chiloensis contributes the size to the strawberries you may be more accustom to eating.

We are of high wildlife value with many animals eating our fruit and also  used as a pollinator plant with many visitors including little carpenter bees.
