I prefer moist, rich soils, along woodland edges, but I’ll tolerate many conditions.

I am considered of special value to pollinators because of the wide range of bees and wasps I support. I’m also the host plant of the checkerspot butterfly (shown), summer azure butterfly and gold moth.

I have really interesting seeds that look like tiny butterflies.
